Tether

Watch- The Making of Tether

Madeline created Tether as part Scottish Ballet’s Moving Minds Immersive Conference. It was exclusively commissioned and had its premiere at Tramway in Glasgow. The conference explored how dance and creating can have a positive impact for young people's mental health and wellbeing. Madeline’s choreography delves into the importance of support, relationships, and human connection through movement. She started with a simple hug between two dancers, how they reacted and didn’t react back. This led to developing the different dynamics within relationships, friendships, and families/ communities. Featuring dancers from both Scottish Ballet’s main company and Youth Exchange, a wonderful large group of twenty-five movers. To Bach’s Classical Italian Concerto Fantasia and Fugue (piano works). Tether is a celebration of art truly blossoming when working and supporting each other.
