Breathless

Choreographed by Madeline Squire and Scottish Ballet’s Associate Choreographer Nicholas Shoesmith. With direction by Eve McConnachie. Dancers, Harvey Littlefield and Evan Loudon in Breathless are symbols of the themes that run through every relationship, such as balance, power, trust, and greed. The film is created as an infinite loop and shot in a fully enclosed circular space, reflecting the cyclical nature of life and relationships. Filmed in a unique space The Revelator, Glasgow, with special thanks to Stephen Skrynka and Sarah Martin. With Carlo Ascrizzi dramatic score and with Forest of Black, Sean Corbett’s steadicam revolving camera work, this pairing amplifies an immersive emotional experience of vulnerability and strength.The film is kindly supported by Burness Paull and was also selected for the San Francisco Film Festival 2024.
